The International Report
Factual news, written by students—for students.
The International Report delivers clear, honest reporting on domestic and global issues to help young people stay informed in a noisy world. Founded with the belief that truth and accessibility should be at the heart of journalism, we aim to cut through misinformation and provide fact-based coverage on topics like foreign affairs, national security, and the global economy. Our content is created by and for students, offering a trusted platform where teens can both learn from and contribute to meaningful conversations about current events.
Our Mission
We provide honest, fact-based journalism for a generation raised on social media, cutting through misinformation to deliver trusted news on the issues that matter most.
Meet the Founder
My name is Jack Thompson, and I’m a rising junior at Greens Farms Academy. My passion for journalism and international affairs began in 6th grade, when I completed a project where I virtually traveled to Beijing, China and learned about the city over the course of 24 hours. This led me to want to learn about current events both in my home country and across the world. I have always been interested in learning about foreign cities, cultures, and learning more about the political and economic situations of different countries. In conjunction, I have always enjoyed writing, so what better way to group together my interest for the world with my liking for writing. Since I have been in 8th grade, I have every year submitted my writing to Scholastic art and writing awards, along with other writing contests. I look forward to continuing my journey as a writer with The International Report.
