The Weekly Report: December 14-21 2025
United States
The Department of Justice released many photos and transcripts that they had collected from investigations in Jefferey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. As part of this release there wasn’t any bombshell information released. New photos that previously haven’t been in the public domain have now surfaced publicly. However a day after the release, numerous photos were removed including one that contained President Trump.
Asia
Three people were killed and six injured in a stabbing attack in Taipei, Taiwan. A man threw a smoke grenade in a train station before attacking bystanders. He escape the scene following the attack and either fell or jumped from a building. Attacks such as this one are rare in Taiwan.
Europe
European Union Leaders agreed to loan Ukraine 105 billion dollars which will cover a wide range of Ukraines financial needs. President Zelensky had warned the EU Leaders prior to the passage of the loan that if it was not passed Ukraine would not be able to produce the same number of drones and would thus be much more vulnerable to Russian attacks.
Americas
The U.S. military struck another two boats suspected of carrying illegal drugs which resulted in the deaths of five people in total. This latest strike is the 27th one since the strikes began in September. This latest strike comes as congress has been putting pressure on the U.S. military’s campaign in the Caribbean Sea.
Africa
The Rwandan backed militia, M-23 announced that it had withdrawn from the city of Uvira in the Democratic Republic of Congo following a request my U.S. officials. The offensive led by the militia group resulted in the displacement of over 200,000 people.
Middle East
The U.S. military launched numerous strikes on Islamic State targets in Syria following the killing of two U.S. troops and a U.S. civilian interpreter in an ambush. More than 70 targets were hit with over 100 munitions used. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth said that similar strikes could continue in the future.
