The World Today In Ten Bullets: France’s No-Confidence Vote & The Terrorist Attack in Jerusalem

  • The Prime Minister of France is likely to loose a no confidence vote. Fancois Bayrou, the Prime Minister of France called for the vote because of plans to lower the country’s budget deficit.

  • A terrorist attack in Jeruselam resulted in the deaths of at least six people with many more injured. The attack took place at Ramot Junction, where people from two vehicles opened fire at a nearby bus stop.

  • In Buenos Aires Argentina, Javier Mileis Libertarian Party suffered a defeat in the provincial elections. Mileis party took just 34 percent of the vote while the leftist leaning party took 47 percent of the vote.

  • President Trump of the U.S. said that his most recent ceasefire proposal has been approved by Israel. Hamas in response said it welcomed any move to bring peace. The deal is said to include the release of all remaining hostages.

  • The Prime Minister of Japan, Shigeru Ishiba resigned following a rise in inflation and the tariff ordeal with the U.S. The Liberal Democratic Party which was led by the now former prime minister suffered a signiifcant defeat in the July Parliamentary elections.

  • A man in New Zealand who ran away with his children three years ago was shot and killed by police following the robbery of a store. The three children who he took with him were found safe following the shooting. One of the children was with him at the time of the robbery while the other two were found safe in a remote area.

  • A drone which was launched by the Houthis, a rebel group from Yemen, struck an airport in southern Israel which resulted in it closure for a few hours. It is rare occurrence that a missile or drone get through the Israeli air defense system.

  • Hundreds of South Korean workers were taken into custody in Georgia following an immigration raid. The raid took place at a battery factory that is currently under construction. The South Korean Government said it is working out a deal to fly the workers home to South Korea.

  • Ukrainian officials took roughly 60 foreign diplomats on a tour of the Parliamentary building that was damaged in a strike by Russia. Many offices suffered severe damage from the fires that followed the strike.

  • Police in Nepal shot a killed 17 people while 117 others were injured. The police opened fire at protesters protesting a government led social media ban.
