  • Ending decades of conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the two nations will sign a declaration of peace on Friday according to President Trump.

  • Following talks between President Putin and Steve Witkoff, President Putin talked with President Xi Jinping of China and Prime Minister Modi of India to discuss his recent talks with Steve Witkoff. It is expected that in the near future President Trump and President Putin will sit down for face to face talks.

  • The U.S. announced tariffs on 1 kg gold bars coming from Switzerland. Much of Switzerland's gold exports go to the U.S. so it will hit them very hard. It was generally expected that tariffs would avoid gold however recent developments show that is not the case.

  • President Trump has reportedly directed the Pentagon to target drug cartels, which are considered terrorist organizations, using military force. What the Pentagon plans on doing is unclear, however President Sheinbaum of Mexico said U.S. military forces are unwelcome in her country. 

  • Israeli Defense Minister Katz has said that the Israeli Defense Forces(IDF) are prepared to implement a plan to complete the full takeover of the Gaza Strip, a move that has been criticised by many countries.

  • The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced it had opened an investigation into Letitia James, New York Attorney General, over suspected mortgage fraud.

  • An appeals court panel decided to throw out a district court judge's plan to investigate whether Trump Administration officials were guilty of criminal contempt for ignoring judges orders for deportation flights heading to El Salvador to turn around. 

  • Russia carried out a strike on Ukraine which resulted in the deaths of 3 people. This latest strike came only days after Steve Witkoff, Special Envoy for peace, met with President Putin. 

  • President Trump has announced that he is replacing IRS Commissioner Billy Long. Long only took the position 2 months ago but is expected to now be promoted to ambassadorship.

  • Following the decision to occupy the entire Gaza Strip by Israel's Security Cabinet, Germany announced it would stop exporting weapons to Israel that “Could be used in the Gaza Strip”.
