The World Today In Ten Bullets: Drone Strikes In Eastern Pacific And Trump visits Japan
Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth announced that the U.S. military launched strikes on four vessels in the eastern Pacific Ocean suspected of carrying drugs. The strikes reportedly killed a total of 14 people with one survivor. It’s important to note that no evidence has been provided showing that drugs were present on the vessels.
President Trump met with the Newley elected Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi in Tokyo. Following their meeting at the palace in Tokyo the two went to a U.S. aircraft carrier that is docked in Japan. On board the vessel President Trump gave a speech with the prime minister standing by his side. President Trump said that Japan and the U.S. are “allies at the strongest level”.
Israel launched a series of air strikes on Gaza which resulted in the death of two people. The strikes were in response to Hamas reportedly violating the ceasefire deal according to Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel. Hamas is said to have handed over the wrong remains of the deceased hostages still being held in Gaza which are supposed to be returned as part of the ceasefire deal.
